My Anecdotal Life A Memoir (Audible Audio Edition) Carl Reiner Phoenix Books Books
Good book!! A couple stories sounded familiar, and that's because they were re-told in recent Reiner memoirs, "I Remember Me", "I Just Remembered", "What I Forgot to Remember" and 'Why and When The DVD Show Was Born" - Not a lot, but there were a few. Good thing is you don't have the read the book in order, so if you skip a few stories, there's no harm done at all (As Mr. Reiner mentions in the Introduction). The book came in excellent condition and Carl Reiner is one of the wittiest and amazing writers in history.Product details

My Anecdotal Life A Memoir (Audible Audio Edition) Carl Reiner Phoenix Books Books Reviews
then this is a great book for you. Reiner shows the creative talent that helped create "Your Show of Shows," The Dick Van Dyke Show" and the 2000 Year Old Man.
Only took me a few days to get through this book. I enjoyed the stories he told of his life and they weren't in any particular order.
Well written, of course! Fun insights. Not self-indulgent or full of name-dropping. A man with amazing talents who loves life and lets you in of some of the loves.
This is a great book! It is easy reading and wonderfully entertaining. I rarely laugh out loud even with the funniest of books, but I did with this one. Carl Reiner has let quite an interesting life, if you are a fan of him (or even if you aren't) you will love this book. Pick it up if you are just looking for some entertaining stories written by a comic genius. I highly recommend it!
This was was a very good read. It was nice to catch glimpses into how Mr. Reiner's mind works. The book keeps your attention. The skipping around didn't bother me that much once I got used to it. It is not a memoir in the strictest sense but just funny stories that he is remembering.
The book is very interesting and all Carl Reiner. Whether he is acting or writing he is hilarious as alw.ays
I really enjoyed the book. It has a nice "guy telling a story at a party" feel to it. It's full of loving, personal moments about friends & family. I especially loved the pride with which Reiner remembers his brother. It's a passionate, funny book. Highly recommended!
